Possible distributor of our film

Artificial eye

After researching the possible film distributors, we came to a conclusion that we wanted to use an independent film distributor to release our film. I believe that artificial eye films would be a good film distributor to publish our film, as they have released similar genre films before therefore know a better knowledge of how to make the profit from that specific genre film. But they also have a good audience so will make the film well known as much as possible. The company was founded in 1976 by Andi Engel, a German-born film enthusiast, and his then wife, Pamela Balfry, who had a background working with Richard Roud at the London Film Festival. She became Artficial Eye's first managing director.Artificial Eye releases some 20 new theatrical films and 30 DVD titles in the UK each year, as well as digital releases via several platforms, such as iTunesLovefilmFilmFlex and in-house Curzon On Demand.

Peter Strickland, the director of Katalin Varga, returns with a very different tale with Berberian Sound Studio.
1976: A timid sound engineer (Toby Jones) arrives in Italy to work on a mysterious horror film, mixing bloodcurdling screams with the grotesque sounds of hacked vegetables. But as the onscreen violence seeps into his consciousness reality and fantasy become blurred and a nightmare starts to awake…
Daringly original and masterfully constructed, this inspired homage to 70s Giallo horror is a devastating assault on the eyes, ears and brain, drawing comparisons with the films of David Lynch and being hailed as a modern cult masterpiece.

The artificial eye company is suitable to distribute our film as it has a wider audience, but also is locally well known independent company, which is what we want. We want our film to be a local film, so based in England.
