Research into title sequences

Control:
Control is a 2007 biographical film about the life of Ian Curtis, singer of the late-1970s English post-punk band Joy Division. It is the first feature film directed by Anton Corbie, who had worked with Joy Division as a photographer. The screenplay by Matt Greenhalgh was based on the biography Touching from a Distance by Curtis' widow Deborah, who served as a co-producer on the film. Tony Wilson, who released Joy Division's records through his Factory Records label, also served as a co-producer. Curtis' band mates Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, and Stephen Morris provided incidental music for the soundtrack via their post-Joy Division act New Order. Control was filmed partly on location in Nottingham, Manchester, and Macclesfield, including areas where Curtis lived, and was shot in colour and then printed to black-and-white. Its title comes from the Joy Division song "She's Lost Control".

The title sequence is really useful for us to get an idea of how ours should be like. I like the beginning of the sequence when he says "existence? what does it matter?" and the past is now a part of my future..." this two quotes made me think about our main character and how she'll be reminiscing on her past and how its her future now as she is on her way to finding her sister.

Silent Hill 3D:
Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is a 2012 Canadian-French 3D horror film directed and written by Michael J. Bassett and a sequel to the 2006 film Silent Hill. Revelation 3D stars Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Deborah Kara Unger, Martin Donovan, Malcolm McDowell, Carrie-Anne Moss and Erin Pitt, with Sean Bean and Radha Mitchell returning from the previous film, and is based on the survival horror video game Silent Hill 3 by Konami. Revelation 3D's plot follows teenager Heather Mason (Clemens) who discovers on the eve of her eighteenth birthday that her presumed identity is false and as a result is drawn to an alternate dimension existing in the fictitious American town of Silent Hill.

The title sequence is 3D making it clear that its a 3D film, but the scenes are also quite violence suggesting that because its 3D and violent you feel like your a part of the crime.Close ups of knifes and dolls getting snapped and torn can suggest that they are focal points that could be internally used in the film. The music that comes on at the beginning of the sequence is quite disturbing as its a non diagetic sound like a chalk being scraped across a board, which can suggest that thw audience will be on the edge of their seats while watching this film.
